    My absolute favorite restaurant.
I Love the restaurant, the bar and the catering rooms. The food is consistently good. They have special seasonal menus as well as all the traditional seafood. Ive never had a bad meal here.
I love having the barroom portion of lamb chops with chutney and rounds of lovely toasted bread. Just enough food for me.
If you have a special event, this is a wonderful, professionally run venue.
I know they also have a Sunday brunch, but I believe it's a buffet, and I've never been a fan of them, so I haven't been.

On Labor Day we were looking for somewhere new to eat and figured why not try Captain Bill's. I've heard a lot about their brunch before so I thought it would be good. We sat inside since the weather wasn't great but next to a big window with a great view of the water. The inside is definitely a little outdated but the waitress was incredibly nice and pleasant the whole time we were there.
I ordered the broiled seafood platter and the fiancée ordered the lobster roll special. Both plates came out looking great but the taste of each left more to be desired. My platter was lacking seasoning throughout although the baked clam was amazing. I wish I had gotten a whole plate of those! The lobster roll did have a good amount of lobster on it but the taste was definitely different, a bit tangy/vinegary, and wasn't my favorite. The fries were crispy and delicious. For the amount of money spent on a subpar seafood lunch, I would have rather gone somewhere I know the food is worth it.
I would still like to come back and try their brunch, possibly another meal, but I'm in no rush.

Came here to Captain Bills today for lunch with some friends. It's a very lovely spot by the water, clean and inviting . Our waitress was very friendly and pleasant. My friend had a specific dietary food request and they were very happy to accommodate her .
Two of us ordered the Broiled Seafood Platter . It had a variety of delicious fresh , shrimp , scallops, flounder and a stuff clam. Everything was delicious and nicely seasoned. Although the stuffed clam was a bit chewy it was  still very flavorful. My other friend ordered the Broiled Flounder stuffed with Crabmeat , it looked amazing ! She said it was absolutely delicious !
We  were all stuffed but were still  somehow able to share a slice of their outrageously delicious creamy  cheesecake!
    What a wonderful lunch!!

Great nautical view with simple decor. place, lively, not intimate or romantic  ambience, but definitely fun!

I was extremely impressed with our server Bodie. Very friendly, outgoing and knew the menu up and down. I thought the prices were reasonable and the quality of our meals were very good. We started off with a special that was outrageously delicious. Panko crusted oysters with a remoulade sauce on the side. Absolutely delicious. He found this with a kale, beat and goat cheese salad which was delicious as well. My husband had delicious seared tuna and I was really pleased to find a restaurant that serves grouper. I love the way they prepared it in the Parmesan encrusted outer layer with fresh vegetables and delicious mashed potatoes. My margarita was good and hubby enjoyed the Chardonnay.

We visited this restaurant with my daughter and (now) son-in-law's family when in NY for my daughter's bridal shower weekend.  We went for a Sunday brunch, and when I tell you they had my favorite food.... bagels, "lox," shrimp cocktail, crab...... I didn't care what else was there...... that's all I needed to see..... and eat.  There was PLENTY of other delectable food items at this brunch, too, but my plate didn't get filled with any of it.  I tend to pile it on with the above foods, especially since I don't tend to go to brunches very often, not to mention, SEAFOOD brunches at that.  Be still, my heart !!

Everything that I ate was delicious.  The shrimp were plump and juicy.  Cocktail sauce had just the right hint of horseradish in it, but not too much.  The lox (smoked salmon) wasn't overly salty.  They had onion, capers, tomatoes and lots of cream cheese waiting for me to dig in.  They understood how to do this right!!  However, it wasn't all great.  I did have an issue with the crab.  While my eyes were so excited to see this huge bucket of crab claws, it turns out they weren't "cracked" for ease of eating, and even when I asked for a crab leg cracker, I just couldn't get it to work.  The crab claw was slippery, and I was having all kinds of problems.  While I'm willing to take some of the blame for being clumsy, it still shouldn't have been THAT difficult.  They really should have started it for the guests and either cut them open altogether or even somewhat.  This was just impossible.  I never did get the crab meat and gave up on that whole mess.  Do they know how much I LOVE crab?  For me to give up on CRAB, well, that's just unheard of !!  The other thing was the bagel.  It was a little dried out, perhaps stale, and the way they cut it, I had to cut it even more..... and it was not easy, so that annoyed me, too.

There were a lot of hot dishes and other items, salads, rolls, and even desserts, but you know, I didn't care at the time.  I ate what I wanted...filled up on it for sure.  It was a very nice spread, and now that I'm writing this, I wish I had tried more of what they offered.  I'm sure we'll go back at some point (even though I live so far away), and when we do, I'll try it then.  Who knows... maybe they'll read my review and fix that crab claw situation.  One can hope !!

This is a great place for celebrations.  Very large restaurant with lots of space, lots of tables, banquet type areas.  Nobody feels overly crowded or boxed in.  Plus the views out the windows were fantastic.  Right on the water (Atlantic Ocean).  Loved that.
